What is the procedure for thermostat replacement?
The first thing required is to shut off the car after you get heat from the air in the car. You can use a jack stand support and remove it on the belly pan.
After leaving the car to cool down for 10 minutes makes the thermostat replacement which is a simple process. You need to place the radiator drain in front of the cross member. Unscrew the radiator drain and add the coolant.
Once the coolant is added remove the expansion tank cab so that the coolant squirts out completely. Make sure to let the coolant drain for a long time so that it gets drained completely.
When doing thermostat replacement you should keep aside the lower radiator from the water pump hose which is on either side of the passenger car. Now you can be ready for another rush of very warm coolant. If the time is not right then thermostat will be open which allows the engine to completely block the drain. On the passenger side of the engine there is a loophole bolt which drains out the coolant located near the engine. Since this bold is not visible to all most of the time it gets fused and corrosive.
In case of excessive wear you should always inspect the hose. On this hose there will be splash of fluid flowing if the car is incorporated with the power steering so the seepage and small leaks will get in effect causing the surface of engine to be moist. You should tighten the fluid do thermostat replacement easily.
